Our Mission Statement

Our purpose is to help all citizens of Putnam County achieve for themselves, according to each individual's capacity, a state of physical, mental, and social well-being. We can accomplish this mission by interacting with our community, influencing people toward healthier behavior, investigating and correcting the causes of disease, implementing plans and policies for the prevention of health problems, and innovating before the need arises.

Our Vision

We envision a Health Department that is influential within the community and a trusted source of information. We want to be seen as responsive to the community's needs and as public health leaders inside and outside Putnam County.
